Can I go into my neighbour's garden to repair my fence?
Not without permission — entering uninvited is trespassing. Always agree access first; most neighbours say yes when asked politely with a date and time. If they refuse and the repair genuinely can't be done from your side, the Access to Neighbouring Land Act 1992 lets you apply for a court order granting access for essential repairs, though that's a slow last resort.
